It's important to set up a good workspace before undertaking a costuming project. Having a work area established will simplify your life while allowing you to work quickly and easily.

If you don't have room to set an area aside for costuming (it can take a lot of space!), try to assemble an organized kit of tools. Look for a reasonably-priced fishing tackle box, compartmentalized toolkit, or hobby box for this purpose. Use the compartments to organize all of the tiny items you'll accumulate while building the fursuit (e.g. needles, pins, pens, tape measure...)
